The hacker “leaked” the personal data of almost all the inhabitants of Austria

A hacker from the Netherlands obtained and put up for sale the full names, addresses and dates of birth of almost all Austrians.
In May 2020, a hacker put the data up for sale on an online forum, according to Reuters.
The perpetrator provided the data as “the full name, gender, full address and date of birth of allegedly every citizen.” Austria.
The police believe that the database contained about nine million data sets – an approximate number of people living in Austria.
The hacker also put “similar data sets” for sale. from Italy, the Netherlands and Colombia. The hacker was arrested in November.
