Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has decided to hold early parliamentary elections in the country on 7 July.
This was stated Greek government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to ukrinform.ru.
“The decision of the Prime Minister is to hold (parliamentary — ed.), the elections on 7 July, not to prevent the holding of entrance examinations to Universities,” he said.
As Ekathimerini notes that the decision on holding of the elections was made after the failure of the ruling party Prime Minister Tsipras of “SYRIZA” in the elections to the European Parliament.
