The famous beach from the movie with DiCaprio reopens
The popular Maya Bay beach opened for tourists in Thailand, the first tourists visited the beach on January 3.
According to Reuters, the beach was closed to visitors for more than three years. It was closed for the restoration of coral reefs back in 2018.
The beach became famous after the release of the movie The Beach, in which Leonardo DiCaprio played the main role. Thousands of tourists rushed to Maya Bay, damaging the local ecosystem.
