Observers recorded a celestial body approaching our planet. Tomorrow the asteroid will be from earth’s orbit.
NASA experts have recorded the asteroid 2019 KH1, which is moving on a dangerous trajectory. Its direction and speed will come close to our planet on 2 June. The closest approach will occur at 9:10 a.m., according to the Chronicle.info with reference to vistanews.ru.
By this point a celestial body reaches the speed of 18.52 km/s. KH1 refers to the celestial bodies of the Apollo class, who called in the part of the asteroid 1862.
Such near-earth objects move in the inner circles of the Solar system, within the asteroid belt between Jupiter and Mars. According to astrophysicists, the diameter of KH1 can reach 50 meters.
It should be noted that the radius of the Chelyabinsk meteorite that fell to Earth in 2013, after overcoming the atmosphere was only 20 meters. It was enough to damage nearly 7 thousand buildings.
Fortunately, the Apollo asteroid will not collide with our planet. Despite the speed of 66,000 mph, the celestial body does not pose a risk.
NASA scientists will build a base for flights to Mars
A giant asteroid will reach Earth this weekend, approached at a distance of 4 million kilometers. The object was recorded by the specialists of the jet propulsion Laboratory NASA, located in Pasadena, California.
