The exchange rate in Ukraine on January 22, 2019: the dollar continues to fall, the Euro plummeted by 15 kopecks against the hryvnia.
On Tuesday 22 January, the national Bank of Ukraine has set the official rates of major foreign currencies at the level:
$ 100 – 2794.8597 hryvnia
100 Euro 3175.5196 hryvnia
10 Russian rubles – 4.2114 of the hryvnia.
According to data on the regulator’s website, the dollar in Ukraine on January 22 fell by 3 kopecks to the level of 27.95 UAH. The Euro exchange rate of NBU on January 22, has fallen by 15 cents to 31.75 UAH. The Russian ruble also depreciated against the hryvnia.

On the Ukrainian interbank currency market on Monday 21 January, the dollar has not handed over positions, as the Euro fell. The dollar is only buying added 2 pennies, and the sales remained at the morning’s quotations. The Euro fell to the end of the day on the interbank market in buying at 2 cents, on sale — 6 cents.

On Monday, the national Bank of Ukraine has set the reference rate for the dollar at UAH 27,94, 4 cents lower than the previous business day (Friday 18 January it amounted to UAH 27,98).
By the end of trading on the interbank market, the dollar was at 27,94/27,97 UAH. The Euro against the end of the session fell to 31,76/31,78 UAH. The ruble rose to 0,4207/0,4214.
As reported, February 7, will come into force the new Law of Ukraine “On currency and foreign exchange transactions” which will cardinally change the system of currency exchange in Ukraine and it is much easier. Now Ukrainians will be able to use the services of not only Ukrainian, but also foreign banks.
Ukrainians will be able to pay or make transfers in foreign currency. As the expert noted, prior to the introduction of the new law currency law in Ukraine was a legacy of the Soviet regime. Restriction of transactions in the currency had no economic justification, on the contrary, damages the economy. In addition, currency regulation directly contradict the legislation of independent Ukraine.
