The creators of the Sputnik V vaccine evaluated its effectiveness after six months

Six months after being vaccinated against coronavirus with the Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine, its effectiveness is 70.5%. This follows from the updated instructions for the vaccine.

The instructions also emphasize that 88% of the vaccine protects against a severe course of the disease in case of infection with coronavirus. From the “wild strain” protection efficiency is 91%, from the delta strain – 70.5%.

It is also noted in the instructions that vaccination against coronavirus with the help of the drug significantly reduces the very likelihood of contracting coronavirus.

Recall that currently, in Russia, development of a children's modification of the vaccine, after completion of which it will be possible to vaccinate children aged 6-11 years.
