Tesla recalls hundreds of thousands of cars that have become dangerous

Hundreds of thousands of Tesla vehicles have proven dangerous. The American company recalls more than 800 thousand cars due to technical problems. This is reported by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Tesla is recalling 817,143 vehicles due to seat belt problems. The NHTSA found technical problems – sometimes the horn does not work in cars, signaling that the driver is not wearing a seatbelt. “Therefore, these vehicles do not comply with Federal Highway Traffic Safety Standard No. 208,” the agency said, according to MarketWatch.

Technical defects were found in models from 2021 to 2022: S and Model X , Model 3 vehicles from 2017 to 2022, and Model Y vehicles from 2020 to 2022. Tesla will carry out a software update to fix problems with cars it has already purchased.

Earlier in January, the company was forced to recall tens of thousands of Model S and Model X electric vehicles due to technical defects. Problems arose with the main control unit MCU (Media Control Unit) and the display. Also in December last year, Tesla recalled more than 475,000 electric vehicles in the US due to technical defects that could increase the risk of an accident.
