The first details about the identity of the terrorist who carried out the attack near the Ramot Junction in Jerusalem have emerged.

Police said the attacker was a Palestinian in his 40s.< br />
He attacked a man on the bus, attacking him with a screwdriver and injuring him. The attack occurred as the bus was leaving the Ramot area.

The Times of Israel reports that the bus driver stopped traffic and the passengers ran out of the bus. At the same time, a passer-by, who noticed something was wrong, shot at the terrorist and neutralized him.

“I got out of the car, loaded the gun and realized that it was a terrorist attack. The attacker approached me, I did not hesitate and shot him with one bullet. I heard him praying in Arabic,” said Meshi Ben Ami, who fired the shot.

The victim of the attack was evacuated to the Shaare Zedek hospital. Doctors assess his condition as moderate. The doctors said his life was not in danger.

Hamas has already hailed the attack, calling it an “act of heroism.”
