Syrian media: Israel fired tanks at objects near the border with Syria

According to Syrian media reports, Israeli tanks shelled positions of the Syrian army near El Malga in the Quneitra region in southwestern Syria early in the morning in Wednesday.

After an alleged tank attack, Israeli planes dropped leaflets warning that Israel would not tolerate any presence of the Syrian military in the demilitarized zone, opposition Houran Radio reported.

Wednesday's strike came just a day after the Syrian Air Force and the Russian Air Force conducted joint exercises in several areas of Syria, including the Golan Heights.
