Suspected terrorist attack in the Old City: attacker neutralized

In the afternoon, on December 4, a young Israeli was seriously wounded in Jerusalem.

According to law enforcement agencies, there is a suspicion that it was a terrorist attack.

An injured Haredi male in his 20s was seriously injured near the Shechem Gate in the Old City.


The suspect tried to stab a police officer. Law enforcers neutralized the attacker. He was shot several times.

According to Ynet, the injured man was admitted to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center with a neck wound. The terrorist was identified as Muhammad Shaukat Muhammad Salima, a 25-year-old teenager who was in Israel illegally.

Riots later broke out at the scene. Police used flash bangs and other means to disperse the crowd against the protesters.
