Two surfers riding the waves of Venice's famous Grand Canal have angered the city's mayor, Luigi Brugnaro.
According to the BBC, the mayor called for the surfers to be punished, and even suggested that anyone who noticed them , free dinner. He later said the two perpetrators had been identified.
Surfing, as well as sports such as kayaking and canoeing, are banned on the Grand Canal. But the rule did not stop the two surfers from surfing.
