 Storm Eunice hits Europe: first casualties

Storm Eunice has hit Europe and killed six people so far.

According to the BBC, the storm has become the strongest in the UK in 30 years.

Three Britons are known to have been killed by the disaster.

“About 200,000 homes were left without electricity, and another 250,000 were reconnected after an emergency shutdown,” said Environment Minister George Eustace.

Three more people died in the Netherlands. In addition, due to bad weather, railway communication and public transport were stopped, flights were canceled.
