The prosecutor's office has filed an indictment against a 24-year-old Jerusalem resident named Yisrael Arish in the Jerusalem District Court.

According to the prosecution, Israel Arish inflicted a serious stab wound to another young man at the Mahane Yehuda market.

The motive for the crime was that the drunk victim attacked Arish's friend. In response, the defendant stabbed him in the stomach. The man tried to escape, but lost consciousness.

Israel Arish has been charged with grievous bodily harm and illegal possession of edged weapons, according to Ynet.
