The Spanish fishing vessel Villa de Pitanxo was caught in a storm off the coast of Canada and sank.
According to RTVE, citing Spanish government spokesman Isabel Rodriguez, four people are known to have died and 17 more people are considered missing.
Three people managed to be saved, they suffered from “hypothermic shock”; due to the low water temperature in the crash area. In total, there were 24 people on the ship.
According to Rodriguez, the Spanish authorities are in constant contact with Canadian rescue services.
