Shimon Peres Square will appear in Manhattan. This became known after the New York City Council approved nearly 200 new street names in honor of various people.
According to Patch, the square, named after the former Israeli president, will be located in the Upper West -Side at the intersection of West 95th Street and Riverside Drive.
It is noted that Shimon Peres did not live in New York for a long time, but studied at New York University and often came to the city.
