Shelling of an IDF checkpoint in Samaria: terrorist killed

A Palestinian terrorist who opened fire on an IDF checkpoint near the Ofrav Samaria settlement today was shot dead. According to The Times of Israel, this is reported by a military source. IDF fighters pursued the suspect in a nearby Palestinian town after he fled the scene. The Palestinian had a hunting rifle, from which he fired, driving past the checkpoint in a car. According to Arab media, the alleged shooter is Mujahid al-Najjar. He previously served time in an Israeli prison. Earlier, the IDF reported that they were searching the area in search of suspects.
