Netflix will release a documentary about the history of one of the most popular porn sites Pornhub. The premiere of Money Shot: Pornhub Story is scheduled for March 15, and the trailer is already available online. The tape will last 90 minutes. It will talk about how the platform works with pornographic materials, and the film will also contain interviews with artists, activists and former employees of Pornhub.

The creators promise to talk about the scandals and successes that Pornhub has experienced in almost 16 years of its existence. The project will be produced by Nicky Carrico, Stacey Offman and Richard Perello.

“This documentary makes us wonder what sexuality and consent mean when billion-dollar internet platforms thrive on user content. Who has and who should have power in these conditions”,– stressed co-author of the film Suzanne Hillinger.

The trailer reveals that the film will address issues such as sexual exploitation and allegations that Pornhub hosts pornography without consent. The owner of MindGeek is facing legal action over alleged monetization of child sexual abuse content. In 2020, the site removed all uploads from unverified users.

The documentary goes beyond Pornhub to explore other aspects of the sex industry. The trailer, for example, touches on the fact that many sex workers and porn stars have lost their social media accounts. Meanwhile, one interviewee suggests that people criticize not only porn but the very idea of ​​self-expression.
