Severodonetsk, Lugansk region, was destroyed by almost 70% as a result of shelling. This was reported by the head of the Severodonetsk city military-civilian administration Alexander Stryuk. "Currently, the city is almost 70 percent destroyed. The new areas will require full restoration as they are uninhabitable”, – he noted. According to him, there is no way to accurately calculate how many houses were destroyed. At the moment, about 20 thousand people out of approximately 135 thousand inhabitants of the city as a whole remain in Severodonetsk.
