Separatists staged a terrorist attack in Cameroon during the race – video

In Cameroon, during the Race of Hope marathon in the city of Buea, there was a terrorist attack, as a result of which 19 athletes were injured. The video of the attack was posted on Twitter by Venezuelan journalist Derek Blanco.

Spectators were watching the race, and a bomb exploded on the side of the road, not far from the crowd of athletes. Police said they detonated three improvised explosive devices.

Separatists claim responsibility for the bombings, demanding secession from south Cameroon – Western regions.

Earlier, in the south-west of Cameroon, in the city of Kumba, there were clashes between military personnel and separatists advocating the independence of the English-speaking regions, killing at least six people.
