Four-time world champion, German race car driver Sebastian Vettel will leave Formula 1 by the end of the 2022 season.
Vettel admitted that the decision was “difficult” and he spent “a lot of time thinking about it.”
Sebastian Vettel will leave the sport as one of the most successful drivers in history, according to the BBC. Four times (from 2010 to 2013) he received the title of world champion of the Formula 1 series. He has a total of 53 race wins.
“Today it's not about saying goodbye. Rather, it's about saying thank you to everyone – not least the fans, without whose passionate support F1 would not exist,” he said.
