Scientists have told what awaits the planet Earth in 2500
Living in tropical regions will be simply impossible, scientists predict.
According to new data from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change UN, there is a high probability of a rise in temperature by 2100 by 2.7 degrees, which will lead to catastrophic consequences.In turn, changes in temperature will lead to more frequent fires, hurricanes, droughts, floods and heat, as well as profound changes in land and water surfaces, experts say. & Nbsp;
& # 171; The main reason for such changes & # 8212; carbon emissions & # 187 ;, & # 8212; experts emphasize. & nbsp;
Predicting the future, an international group of scientists has drawn up three main scenarios according to which further events may unfold. They assume: low level of mitigation of the consequences of global warming, medium and high, in line with the Paris & nbsp; agreement & nbsp; to reduce & nbsp; the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from & nbsp; 2020.
Experts have found that in the first two scenarios, global temperatures will increase after 2100. Under these scenarios, vegetation and the best cropland move towards the poles, and the area suitable for growing a range of crops will decrease. Some areas, such as the Amazon Basin, will become uninhabitable.
& # 171; It can get so hot that it will be impossible to live in tropical regions & # 187;, & # 8212; & nbsp; say scientists.
At the same time, they emphasize that even in a scenario with a high level of climate change mitigation, the sea level continues to rise.
& # 171; If we cannot stop the warming of the climate, then in the next 500 years, our planet will change beyond recognition and this will threaten the survival of man as a species & # 187; & # 8212; noted experts.
Let us remind you that earlier the Minister of Ecology of Ukraine Roman Abramovsky announced the negative impact of the climate on the territory of the country. According to him, the south can become a desert.
