Scientists have proven that wearing a mask makes people attractive
People do look more attractive when they wear masks during the coronavirus pandemic. This is the conclusion reached by researchers from Cardiff University (Wales).
Especially the attractiveness of the human face increases the wearing of a blue medical mask, the researchers believe, according to Sky News.
Before the study was considered, that medical face masks reduce human attractiveness because they are associated with illness in humans. However, during the pandemic, people's perceptions changed dramatically.
The study determined how different types of face masks changed the attractiveness of 40 male faces. A group of women were asked to rate the attractiveness of images of male faces on a 10-point scale: unmasked, wearing a cloth mask, wearing a blue medical mask, and holding a black book cover that would cover the part of the face covered by the mask.
