Scientists from China announced the probable origin of Omicron

Scientists at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing decided that the Omicron coronavirus strain arose definitely not in the human body. In their opinion, the virus was transmitted to humans by mice.

According to the Journal of Genetics and Genomics, mice began to contract the coronavirus in humans and have already begun to get sick. As a result, a new strain was synthesized in the body of one of the mice. And then there was a reverse transmission.

In addition, the scientists came to the conclusion that the Omicron strain; is much better transmitted than Delta and also the Wuhan version. However, it causes less severe damage to the body.
