Scientists are going to revive the Tasmanian tiger

Colossal Biosciences has teamed up with the University of Melbourne on an ambitious project to bring back long-extinct species.

the research team will be the Tasmanian tiger, which disappeared almost a century ago.

The marsupial wolf, as well as the Tasmanian wolf or thylacine — an extinct marsupial mammal, the only surviving representative of the marsupial wolf family, as well as the largest marsupial predator known before its extinction.

The project is financed by large crypto investors and actor Chris Hemsworth. If successful, the first individual will be released into the wild in 10 years.
