Russian ballerina Tatyana Leskova received the Rio Branco medal in Brazil. It was awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country for his contribution to the development of dance art. The dancer is already 99 years old. Despite this, she leads a fairly active lifestyle.

Tatyana Leskova was born in 1922 in Paris to a family of Russian emigrants. She speaks excellent Russian. Her great-grandfather, the Russian writer Nikolai Leskov, and her great-granddaughter read his works in the original. The ballerina has lived all her life outside of Russia. In 1944 she moved to Brazil. There she headed the ballet troupe of the “Municipal Theater” Rio de Janeiro.
