On Monday, February 13, an earthquake of magnitude 5.2 rocked Romania.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports.

The epicenter of the seismic activity was located 14 km northwest of the Romanian city of Tirgu Jiu, where 97 thousand people live.

This was the strongest earthquake in Romania in the last 30 years.

Tremors also felt in Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia. Information about the victims and destruction, at the moment, has not been received.
