Roger Waters “Anti-Semitic” German concert tour under threat< /p>

Nearly three weeks after the city of Frankfurt announced the cancellation of an upcoming concert by former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters due to his anti-Semitic and pro-Russian remarks, the city council of Munich wants to do the same most.

On Monday, a coalition of center-left Social Democrats, the Volt, Pink List and Green Party issued a joint call to cancel Waters' May 21 concert at Munich's Olympiahalle. The band added that if contractual obligations make canceling the concert impossible, attendees should be greeted outside the venue with Israeli and Ukrainian flags and handed out information sheets detailing Waters' offensive comments.

The proposal will be discussed on Tuesday at a meeting of the Economic Committee of the Munich Council. If agreed, the mayor of Munich, Dieter Reiter, will be authorized to cancel the concert.
