Rocket fired from Gaza explodes in Gaza

On the morning of January 4, a rocket was launched from Gaza towards Israel.
The rocket did not reach Israel and fell in Gaza. An attempted shelling was made from Gaza to Israeli territory in the Eshkol region. This is the first shelling since the new government took office.
The IDF press office said it was a “launch failure”. As per policy, the missile warning sirens have not been turned on and life in the border areas continues as normal.
