Riga IFF face-to-face sessions will also take place during an emergency
Live screenings of the Riga International Film Festival (Riga IFF) will also take place during an emergency, informs Riga IFF.
The Department explained that the Riga IFF was initially planned as a so-called “green regime” event and that if the Ministry of Culture (MoC) and the Cabinet of Ministers did not take the “necessary steps” to ensure a transitional period for cultural events, the session would remain closed by .23, individual solutions will be sought.
The department also noted that for sessions, the course of which will be restricted due to the introduced assembly requirements, the possibility of organizing additional sessions or other suitable solutions is being evaluated. The changes will not affect online impressions, which are still scheduled.
The organizers of the festival indicated that the ticket holders will be notified of changes in the course of specific screenings as soon as possible, but not later than two days before the scheduled screening.
The event team reminded that this year most of the program is also available online, so those interested are also invited to use this opportunity to reduce gatherings and support the festival in times of crisis.
It is planned that RIGA IFF will take place from October 14 to October 24.
