 RIA Novosti journalist was not released from Russia

Journalist "RIA Novosti" Ilya Vasiliev was not released from Russia amid partial mobilization in the country.

Ilya Vasilyev, a sports journalist, intended to fly to Istanbul, but border guards at Zhukovsky airport they did not let him on the flight, RIA Novosti reported.

The man was given a notice that he was denied the right to leave Russia on the basis of the decision of the military registration and enlistment office.

Ilya is reportedly Vasiliev is 33 years old. He was of limited fit, but he did not receive a summons at the place of residence.

“We were kept in the room for forty minutes: they asked if he had a Russian passport, a certificate from the military registration and enlistment office stating that he could leave the country. They refused to look at the military ID. Then some chief came and said that, on the basis of the law, they could not let me out of the country. As a result, a notification was issued,” he said.
