Reports of severe drug shortages in Israel

EHIFs and private pharmacies report an acute shortage of winter medicines. Missing medicines listed at checkouts include paracetamol, cold and cough medicines, sore throat medicines, and more.

Some paracetamol and other medicines are not available at most branches or websites.

The shortage is due, in part, to logistical problems and high demand.

Drugs reported to be in short supply:

Paracetamol

Nexin for pain and inflammation

Etopen – anti-inflammatory and analgesic

Strepsils

Chairman of the Association of Pharmacists David Pepo last week spoke with the Deputy Director of the Department of Pharmacy of the Ministry of Health, and since then, according to him, nothing has been done.
