There are 3.09 million children and adolescents under the age of 17 in Israel. This is evidenced by the report of the Central Statistical Bureau. Thus, almost a third of Israel's population, 32.6%, are minors. About 2.242 million teenagers under the age of 17 are Jews – 72.5%, 741 thousand, or 24% – Arabs. In turn, the percentage of minor Jews decreased, while the percentage of Arabs, on the contrary, increased. According to the bureau, 185,040 babies were born last year, of which 95,265 were boys and 89,775 were girls. The Ministry of Education expects that by 2025 the number of minors will reach 33.4%, and by 2045 – about 32.6%. The report also states that 710,700 children live in the center of Israel, 396,000 — in the Tel Aviv area, 484,000 — in the Jerusalem area. The highest proportion of children is registered in Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria.
