A rare Malay tiger was shot dead at a Florida zoo after a predator attacked a janitor entered the forbidden area for him with a tiger enclosure.

When he put his hand over the fence, the tiger grabbed her. The county deputy sheriff arrived at the scene and tried to rescue the victim. But only shooting helped to make the tiger let go of his hand.

Eighth-year-old tiger Eko, when hit by live ammunition, let go of his hand and went into the depths of the enclosure. He later died of his injury, writes CBS News.
