A rare case of avian flu detected in Britain

A rare case of avian influenza in humans has been identified in the UK.

This is reported by AFP.

The country is fighting c the largest outbreak of the virus in birds in history, like Israel. According to the Ministry of Health, an infected Englishman in the southwest of the country is “healthy” and is in self-isolation.

“The person contracted the infection as a result of very close, regular contact with a large number of infected birds that he kept in his home. All contacts of this person, including those who visited his premises, were tracked '', & ndash; said in a statement.

It is clarified that the Ministry of Health did not receive information about the further spread of the infection.
