Rape in Cyprus: British woman wins appeal

A British woman who accused Israelis of gang rape in Cyprus won an appeal to overturn her libel conviction.

This is reported by The Daily Mail.

The country's Supreme Court issued its decision after the British lawyers proved that the judge of the first instance ignored the testimony of experts and did not allow the victim to testify.

According to the lawyers, they welcome decision of the court.

“The Supreme Court of Cyprus has ruled and granted this young woman's appeal. This is not only a victory and a complete acquittal of the plaintiff, but also of all those women in the world who are faced with unfair justice,” said lawyer Lewis Power.
