Rain and floods in Britain lead to transport collapse

< /p>

Torrential rain and strong winds have led to flooding in the UK.

As of Thursday afternoon, there were more than 60 flood warnings in England, 19 in Wales and two in Scotland, BBC reports.

About 600 homes, mostly around the Welsh city of Newport, were left without power. The bad weather is expected to continue into Friday and the weekend.

The floods have in turn led to traffic disruption and chaos . For example, flooding blocked two railway lines in the west of England. In the city of Keynesham in Somerset, some drivers had to be rescued due to flooding.

Four railway lines in Wales were blocked due to heavy rain.
