Railway tragedy in Greece: transport minister resigns

The Minister of Transport of Greece announced his resignation in connection with the train accident that occurred last night.
Reuters reports.
Recall that at least 36 people died as a result of the railway accident. A passenger train collided with a freight train.
Dozens of people were injured as a result of the crash and the ensuing fire. The death toll is expected to continue to rise.
The head of the local station where the accident took place in charge of signaling has been arrested and charged with mass negligent deaths and grievous bodily harm. The 59-year-old man denies any involvement in the accident, explaining it as a possible technical malfunction.
