Pussy Riot member was arrested for depicting Lukashenka with a swastika

Pussy Riot group member Maria Alekhina was arrested for 15 days for public demonstration of Nazi symbols.

The decision was made by the Tverskoy Court of Moscow.

According to Alekhina's lawyer Daniil Berman. The reason for the arrest was the publication of an image of Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko with a swastika on Instagram. The image was published in 2015.

“The court found Alekhina guilty of an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 20.3 (propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols)”, & mdash; reports the words of the lawyer to TASS.

The defense intends to appeal the court decision.
