Pugacheva stood up for her husband after he was called a traitor to the Motherland

Alla Pugacheva stood up for her husband Maxim Galkin after he was called a traitor to the Motherland.

A flurry of angry comments attacked the comedian after his parody of TV presenters Skabeeva and Solovyov.

Alla Borisovna published her husband's appeal on her Instagram, in which he said that he had never betrayed the Motherland and that he had been engaged in parodies only on propagandists and false officials.

"For 28 years of my performances, I have never, not once, poured mud on my dear, dear Russia. All these 28 years I have been parodying politicians, ridiculing deceitful, greedy, miserable propagandists and corrupt officials who rob my Russian people. And I, as a satirist, had the right to do so. And I will do it, as I did before. My performances are no different from all the performances that have been in numerous Russian cities over the years. I have always been for the people. Not for the title, not for handouts from the state table, but for the people. So, even now I want my Russian people to live in peace, wealth, and not in poverty and isolation, – said Galkin.

The prima donna signed the publication with the words from the Bible: “He who has ears, let him hear.”
