Professor Salman Zarka made a number of statements about the surge in the incidence of coronavirus in Israel.

According to the professor, the BA.5 strain “will be significant in the future”, and now about 50% of currently ill patients are infected with it.
“This strain is less resistant to the vaccine,” Zarka said.
The professor also said that the Ministry of Health is considering returning to the mandatory wearing of masks indoors.
