Coordinator of the fight against coronavirus, Professor Salman Zarka, said that it is too early to talk about the exit from the fifth wave of coronavirus.
He said this in an interview for Radio KAN.
“It's too early to say that we are already out of the fifth wave of the coronavirus. We are seeing a decrease in the incidence, but the numbers are still too high, it's too early to take off the masks,” said the professor.< br />
According to Zarka, the Omicron BA.2 subspecies created a “wave within a wave” by “teaching us that the virus creates variants at an extremely fast rate.”
