The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, suggested Prince Andrew, Duke of York, was “seeking to make amends.”
He stated this in an interview with ITV News .
“Forgiveness really does matter. I think we've become a very, very unforgiving society. Prince Andrew, I think we all need to back off a bit. He's trying to make amends, and I think that's a very good thing,” the archbishop said.
Recall that Prince Andrew was accused of sexual assault. After that, he was stripped of almost all the titles and duties that he had as a member of the royal family.
