 Prince Andrew Case: Agreement Reached

Prince Andrew was able to reach an out-of-court settlement for a lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre who accused him of rape.

As reported by CNBC, the son of the British queen will pay a certain amount which is not disclosed. The prince will also make a “substantial donation” in support of victims' rights.

“Virginia Giuffre and Prince Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement. Prince Andrew never intended to vilify Ms Giuffre's character and he acknowledges that she suffered.” the parties said in a statement.

The lawsuit was settled weeks before Prince Andrew was due to testify under oath. As CNBC notes, “The settlement will save Andrew from further shame.”
