Pregnant woman was denied admission to hospital due to expired test

In China, a pregnant woman was not admitted to the hospital because the results of her coronavirus test were several hours late. The incident took place on the first day of the new year in Xi'an.

As a result, according to Newsweek, the woman was admitted to the hospital only two hours later, when doctors noticed a pool of blood under her feet. The woman lost her child at 8 months of pregnancy, emergency surgery did not help save the baby.

According to a relative of the victim, the hospital staff refused to help the woman because the test, proving that she does not have coronavirus, expired four hours ago.

Later it became known that the general director of the hospital was suspended from work in connection with the incident.
