Police are preparing for the possibility of renewed clashes in the Old City. It is expected that a new round of violence may occur on the last day of Ramadan. Around 3,000 officers will be deployed throughout the Old City, according to Walla. The police will keep order there in the coming days, in light of the upcoming holidays of Remembrance Day, Independence Day, Eid al-Adha and Jerusalem Day. The day before, Prime Minister Naftali Bennet called a meeting with ministers about security arrangements in Jerusalem in the coming days. Fears about the possibility of renewed clashes arose amid Hamas calls for violence from the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
