Police in Rome are looking for a possible serial killer after the bodies of three women were found in two apartments in the prestigious Prati district.
The Guardian reports.
Two victims, both sex workers and a Chinese woman in their 40s and 50s, were found stabbed to death in the apartment. The alarm was raised by the porter of the house, who discovered the body of one of the dead women on the threshold of the apartment. On the bodies of the Chinese women, stab wounds of the throat, chest and back were found. Their identities have not been established.
The third body is that of a Colombian woman identified as Marta Castano Torres, also a sex worker, who was stabbed to death. The body was found by Sister Torres.
A Rome police source said investigators are working on a version that the women were killed by the same person.
