Pogroms in Hawara: what the court decided in relation to the detainees

On Thursday, March 2, the Jerusalem District Court ordered the release of all eight detainees during the riots in Hawara.

The court explained its decision by the lack of evidence of their involvement in the pogroms in an Arab village.

In turn, the Ministry of Defense signed a decree on the administrative arrest of two of them. According to the legal aid organization Honen, Defense Minister Yoav Galant signed the order on the recommendation of the Shin Bet.

One of those subject to administrative arrest is a minor.
