 Plane with four people on board disappeared from radar in the Philippines

A small plane carrying four people went missing on Saturday after taking off southeast of the Philippine capital. Searches are underway, aviation officials said.

The Cessna 340 flew from Albay Province to Manila with a pilot, crew member and two passengers on Saturday morning, but has not been heard from since, it said. Philippine Civil Aviation Authority.

Aviation officials did not immediately provide details of the people on board, but said the Philippine Air Force, Coast Guard and disaster relief agencies have been notified. They were asked to help in the search.

This is the second missing plane in less than a month. A single-engine Cessna plane with six people on board went missing on January 24 in the northern province of Isabela. The search for the plane is still ongoing, depending on the weather, in the remote mountainous regions of Isabela, according to officials.
