Photo of young Elizabeth II put up for auction
A rare photograph of Queen Elizabeth II, taken in 1944 when Elizabeth was 18 years old, was put up for auction.
Almost 80 years old, according to the Daily Star The photograph was kept by the family of Stanley Williams, who at the time was Superintendent of Windsor and Buckingham Palaces. The family is selling it for £ 1,500 and wants the picture to end up in the hands of a history buff.
