British philanthropist and banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild has died at the age of 92. According to Reuters, this became known on Tuesday, November 8. Rothschild served as CEO of the investment bank Rothschild & Co. He was also chairman of The Economist weekly. In addition, the philanthropist was an economic adviser to the late Queen Elizabeth II. In 1967, Sir Evelyn created the Erand Foundation. to support social welfare, promote the arts, and encourage research in medicine and education.
